It's okay for them to steal records i guess cause your kid wasn't impacted?

Not at all. I'm absolutely empathetic to the runners affected, and I've outlined my position on this on other threads on this board before - I pointed to Amby Burfoot's take which I agree with, summarized here:

"1–Do you believe in separate men’s and women’s competition in sports? Yes. It’s what gives women an opportunity to succeed in sports, and they deserve that opportunity. Also, history and tradition should count for something.

2–Would you decide by asking the athlete for his/her gender, or by finding a more objective test? I’d look for a more objective test. As Joanna Harper likes to say, “If you get to choose, then I choose to be 80 years old. I’d kick butt in that division.” (She’s 62 and finished ninth in her division at the National Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee on February 2). The World Champs and Olympics aren’t the place to use personal preference to determine one’s entry status.

3–Would you use a testosterone test, or have you got a better idea? I don’t have a better idea, and I find the testosterone argument quite convincing. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best we’ve got."

So to answer your question, no - I'm not saying it's okay, only that it's exceedingly rare.

This is going to kill women's track. It already has in Connecticut.
Stick an asterisk by the record like we did in the steroid juiced home run contests of baseball and move on. I know nothing about track but in every other sport I do know a state title doesn't mean shirt when it comes to college scholarships its all about your club performance.

Titles mean nothing in track either. Just times.

Why does it's rarity matter?

Meet your new pitcher. BTW, he will be in your bathroom as well.

Can I ask a serious question.
Where are our girls "safe"?
We're not ever, anywhere. Welcome to life as a woman. Women aren't even safe in their own homes with their fathers and husbands. A transgendered person playing sports with my daughter isn't even on the radar of things that I need to teach her to protect herself from. The pretty white rich boy named brock at the frat house is a much bigger threat.
