WW's daughter has a good sequence (balanced fyb).. She moves out fastball and due to a balanced sequence she's gives up nothing in regards to power on the off-speed..

Hitters who get into a dynamic leveraged fyb hitting position is paramount to the sequence.

Thanks TDS.

Are you saying ‘time’ and move out aren’t the same thing? I believe they are. But I get it. I have higher expectations set upon me. Must be my improved descriptions 😑
We're good..no problems.

You start (e.g. time) your move out based upon whatever pitch you are expecting to be thrown. In your DD's case, as TDS explained, she starts (e.g. "times") her move out based upon the expectation of a fastball. Most hitters do that although Aaron did say he always guessed curveball because he knew nobody could get a fastball by him..we should all be so lucky 😂.

Your launch timing (e.g. when you start to launch the bat) is done with the information you gained from pitch recognition (as your DD did)..you also adjust your movements after you start your move out and before you launch based upon pitch recognition (as your DD did) e.g. some hitters will delay getting their foot down more while others may get into their legs (foot down) similar as they would for a fastball and then adjust from there. Most do a combination of both. These post move out adjustments are made possible and allow for no loss of power in the swing when, as you preach, you are balanced in your move out as your DD is and if your move out maintains/creates stretch in the body vs. bleeding it (which is related to balance).

JMHO of course.

Since we have gotten a bit off topic, to the OP (if he is still paying attention after all of the OT stuff ;) ), I would work on going oppo both off the tee and in front toss. If she can consistently hit hard line drives over the F4's head that would be a good start.

When it comes to younger players.,it’s best to stick with fastest timing and adjust from there. I wouldn’t teach them to pick pitches, maybe locations. It helps the kids develop a solid approach and a correct move out. Fundamentals are most important.

I think Aaron meant something different than what you interpreted. He was not sitting ‘curve’, he was looking fastball and had the curve on his mind.
Seems like I always induce vacations from you..I am starting to feel bad ;)
lol. Self aware you are not

Josh Donaldson may not be HOFer but the man can rake. He had 37 hrs in 2019 and 900 OPS. He adjust to the pitch with his move out. He floats. It beautiful to watch. He is very balanced and very dynamic. He hits balls all over the park. (LF CF RF) He hits the fastball and the off speed, inside and outside. He will probably get a 3 year/$7000000 contract because he can flat f***ing hit.

Josh Donaldson preaches landing with front foot open. He is right.

Rolling Hard,

If you watch the clips you posted of Josh Donaldson you will see it's the hips/lower body opening that turns the foot open. It's not just the foot per say that is opening. It's how Mike Epstein explains the swing, lowerbody opening while the upperbody stays back/closed, winding the rubber band. It's not the foot opening itself.
