In these various discussion on scholarship monies, people throw out some outstanding amounts and percentages. However, I can't help myself from wondering whether they are talking NAIA, NCAA, ... and what level of play in that association for example, D=I, D-II, D-III. I also wonder what position the player plays. Most of us accept the notion that pitchers get the most followed a lot of the time by catchers and SS. I then wonder whether a player who receives these huge amounts include other contributions such as academic monies figured in by the parent. Knowing that D-I gets 12 full scholarships but usually keeps 22+ players on their roster and D-II gets 7.2 scholarships but typically has 18-20 players. Doing the math, when any of these two programs gives out a huge athletic scholarship, someone else is either getting cut or their monies getting reduced. I'm sure others can chime in on NAIA, ... We all know that NCAA D-III doesn't hand out athletic scholarships.
So, it would be nice to have this information. We don't need to know school or conference. JMHO!
Edited to add:
Fixed number of scholarships per D-II
