Vdubya,
Not offended at all. Just looking for some feedback to address my DD's timing issue. My OP didn't include as much detail as needed. DD has been asking me to ask on DFP about this and kept forgetting so started a quick thread after I got home from work.
Like I was trying to explain above she struggles more timing slower pitchers. Mid range and fast pitchers she finds it easier to track ball, let it get to the contact point for solid hit. "The crush the slow pitcher" comment we have talked about that in the past. Honestly, she does hit home runs but she's been pretty humble about that and really tries to focus on her hitting mechanics and good things usually happen, such as hitting home runs. For whatever reason she is not disinclined enough I guess to wait for ball to get into the zone. Like I also mentioned above, she makes contact but not the best hits and ends up pulling the ball if it's an outside pitch.
When we practice it's all about hitting different pitches in the zone and always mix up speed and location when doing front toss. Looking for other drills, philosophies, YouTube links, etc on ways to track/time pitch to get into zone.
