Midway Orange Crush Spring PONY Qualifier - Wilmington, DE.

3 game round robin rained out last weekend. Can't wait!

My DD played that tournament last year. Great fields, but was freezing cold. Good luck, some good teams there. Played a team from Jersey that was the defending PONY National Champs. They won incase you were wondering LOL.

we played 6 of the teams that are in the 18O division in a exposure event last fall in the ATL....thats looks like a tough field....two teams in particular....

King of the Mountain is one of the bigger Spring tournaments in GA and a lot of teams use it as a "tune up" for ASA qualifiers that start this month.

Right Here For Now
HS tournaments start here next week. Wendy's classic next weekend then straight to Myrtle Beach for a week long tourney. OMG I can't wait to see some sun! I'm sick of winter, cold and snow.

Where will you be this weekend? DD and i will be in Des Moines over the next two weekends. This will be her first action since an indoor tournament in November. It will be nice to finally see some ball games. Strange thing about the first tournament in des moines is that it looks like there are a lot of high school teams in the field. It's an 18U USSSA tournament, but half the field is composed of high school teams. Very strange. Anyway, good luck this weekend!

Hope you don't have any games this Friday night; we're expecting snow. Nothing that's supposed to stick, but will make for pretty unpleasant conditions.

We won the 18A Kansas City USSSA NIT here in KC last weekend. There were a couple of Iowa Varsity HS teams in in, but they didn't fair very well.....and we play this weekend in the Kansas City 18A ASA Steve McGinnis Annual Memorial Tournament.....we will be in Des Moines on April 11-13, but we play in the 18 OPEN ASA Iowa Challenge, which is at the Des Moines Softball Complex....I hope its a nice facility. We have played in Iowa a few times, but never there....

Des Moines complex is pretty decent. More importantly, its just a couple minutes from Bass Pro and the casino, for those that are interested;) We're in this same tourney, only we'll be playing 14's over at Walker Johnson, in Urbandale.

We're actually heading to KC this weekend for our first tourney (pretty much the first time we've stepped outside this year). In addition to our games, DD and I plan on catching the Royals' home opener Friday afternoon, and consuming mass quantities of BBQ throughout the entire weekend!!

Good to hear....we will be staying in Urbandale....and not sure if we will have any time to look around any being just a weekend trip with school still in session.

As for KC...we have been outside quite a bit as the weather has been pretty good for the last three weeks (except for a few days here and there)....it got a little chilly on Saturday night for last weekends tournament and its been raining the last two days, but you should be sunny and in the mid 60's for this weekend with no chance of rain....

The Royals home opener will be awesome....it always is....one of the Gates BBQ places is done the street from the stadium too....LC's isn't far either if your want some old school KC BBQ....don't forget Arthur Bryant's and the new reining US rib champion "Oklahoma Joe's".....their "Z-Man sandwich" is one of the best things I have ever eaten....and go there often to get one....but the line is long at all three locations everyday at lunch time....
