The elbow is reactive though.
You can certainly isolate things so you know what should happen, but there is an order and thinking I will just elbow poke and swing is not accurate.
What I was trying to show was the sequence in which Yee gets her barrel loaded (more or less on plane while still behind her in the process of coming around) compared to your daughter (and million other boys and girls)
The sequence will also create that backwards "C" I highlighted in the Yee clip that clears room for the elbow to get through.
Again - these are all mostly created by a good sequence. But, it helps to see what effects should result as check points.

I think the thought behind that "elbow poke" is something she can understand. I will show her this comparison and talk through that thought and try to work it in.
