If Java is still in his 30s, just imagine how wise he'll be when he's in his 50s or 60s.

Like Boardmember's thread on IR, the stuff Java is posting on this thread is like a bible of pitching or something. Is it published? If not, it's time.

Great Stuff!

As my dd's PC, this kind of stuff is invaluable. Yes she has been to see Hillhouse, but we are a long way from where he teaches and can't make it to see him easily, so I have to fill in to provide support and mechanic stuff that I learn from others. My days are long over (I guess I am one of those old guys - mid 50's) but kids I coach really benefit from this type of information.

Between JS and BM, SS and others, we all have a fantastic resource to "build" the foundation of a good pitcher. Put this together with "Building the House" and you will be well on your way to developing a pitcher with mechanics that will stand up to any. The physical attributes notwithstanding, which can't be taught, the information provided by members on this Board is paramount to a parent's understanding of the mechanics involved with high level fastpitch pitching.

Thanks to all. Now time to get to work with DD to sort through all of this. :)

Boy, I'm spending a lot of time on this thread! I copy his posts into Word, clean up some stuff, cut out some stuff, re-word some stuff, then save it in a folder titled "Javasource's Pitching Bible."

I don't know, but if there is, I'd like to use it.

What I do is convert the animated GIF to an AVI, then insert the link to that file (that is in a different folder) in the proper place in the Word document. But, hey, if there is a way to insert an open animated GIF, I'm all ears (or should I say, "I'm all eyes).

is there a way to preserve GIF animation when you do this?
because if so, I might do the same...

I use Evernote to save the information I want to use. I am able to copy GIF animation and edit any information I want. I have two notebooks set up, one for pitching and one for hitting. Best part is the app syncs on all my devices.

When do you think we can expect the next installment here java?
Tonight - probably pretty late...

Thank you! When I'm all done with this thread - I intend on "putting it all together" for everyone... but I think it's great that a bunch of you are modding it and putting it together!

Between all the other necessary distractions (read: life)... I've not been able to plug away at this thread as often as I'd like. I will definitely keep at it in my spare time. Thanks for all the kind words and support... it really validates the time and effort - when you're doing it for good people.

I use Google Docs. If you have a Google account, just copy and paste whatever you see on here into a "Document" file (it's their word processing application), including GIFs. Everything shows up and everything is live. The GIFs are animated right within the document. It's pretty cool.
