He carried a crazy big roster at ASU, too. But, it was kids that were not on scholarship and they were just happy to be included.

Auburn carries a roster a LOT larger than most.
That's a lot of kids left high-and-dry.

Meyers was a very good coach.
But last season's drama is pretty tough to overcome.

Such a Big Time program in the SEC.
I wonder who is on the short-list to replace him?
And I wonder if the eventual replacement leaves their own team high-and-dry, unscrupulously, at the this late juncture,
to jump on an SEC team from a "lesser conference"?

Could produce a cascading-effect of coaching position changes this Fall!

It'll be somebody's dream job and an offer they just couldn't pass up. That school's opening will be somebody else's dream job and so on.

The Stanford opening led to coaching changes at Minnesota, Iowa State, Montana and now UNLV (associate HC) and still counting.

The team members are free to transfer, but yes, classes started this week. (If what I read is correct.) And if memory serves me, if they play the fall season, that is a year of eligibility. I guess they could transfer in January. But, that would not be optimum.
Classes started Monday, so the 5-year clock did too for freshmen. Playing in fall games triggers a season of competition, however there appears to be a freshman exception on it. It also doesn't preclude players from transferring between terms (e.g. Shelby Pendley AZ to OK 2012-13).

ESPNW just broke a long story on the teams complaints about Cory. Evidently, the girls presented several people with evidence of the affair and were mistreated for complaining.
I'll see if I can get a link.

Ultimate College Softball is going pretty good on this. And, of course, there is a great deal of arguing. But, they have posted a tweet from a player supporting Clint.

I will say, that when the 3 were picked up for smoking weed, I found it very strange. I couldn't figure out, where the girls were smoking at and if they were home, who turned them in. Then, when Ms. Fagen passed a drug test, I was more puzzled. I just always had the feeling that someone snitched on them.
