So I am not saying that I think almost any of the world series announcers are "worthy" BUT what the heck? A baseball guy that knows almost nothing about softball!?!? Really !?!?

Who is responsible for these befuddling decisions?? ESPN owe Curt something?....

Thats what we were saying on other thread. My dd was flipping out when I walked in the house...."he is clueless" "I don't even know who this guy is"

She has a similiar stance as Haeger, so when they were picking her swing apart it got particularly heated her. My fav was Smith saying "I would throw offspeed down and inside on her". Then 3 pitches later Haeger takes a down and inside offspeed pitch for a 260 foot ride.

This really infuriates me.

I see a bunch of egotistical macho-males at ESPN thinking they have to bring in an "interpreter" for the average male-sports-consumed-drones that are the majority of ESPN viewership. Shame on their disrespect of the sport of softball.

My wife said "I just don't understand why they have to fill the time with so much fluff. "They talk about 10 times the amount as the best baseball announcers, and it's just fluff."

He just said "it seems like the pitches are being called from the dugout". Then he asked "why is Florida batting their pitcher?"

So Smith said she would throw down and inside off speed to Haeger. Couple pitches later Haeger drives low and inside pitch out of the park.
Schilling says that with that stance she can't reach the outside pitch. Her 2nd at bat she drives the down and outside pitch for a double. Sorry but all ya all sthu!

He does coach a 18u fastpitch team and his dd is going to play in college next year. I have come to believe that no matter who they have announcing at college softball games most people on DFP will be critical.

You think dfp people are critical. Jump on twitter, facebook, and etc.! I am positive it is no coinsidence that we haven't heard from him in about 10 minutes.

Haha ncaa softball just posted "Schilling has clearly never watched a softball game, get him out of there!"
