After two 40 win seasons, bucky is currently battling Michigan State for last place in the Big 10. Curious if the Wisconsin members have any inside info. Injuries? Graduation? Transfers? I will say that the coach seems as positive as ever. They took it on the chin from the gophers lady night but the Wisconsin coach was all smiles.

I think graduated pitcher (Darrah) was better than the pundits want to admit.
Coach is doing the right thing => girls play better when staying up-beat AND I am sure her job is more secure that way too. Hey Illinois coach has been living on smiles for many years until doing "better" this year.

I only saw one game this year -- a heartbreaking extra inning loss to Iowa (3-2 in the 10th inning).
The OTHER part of it was -- in that game, Iowa got some dingers, Wisconsin did not. Wisconsin just lost a great HR hitter. Some of my friends at the game told me they saw last year's 3B hit a HR over the scoreboard. Hard to lose a young lady who tied the Badger records for HR and RBI.
I must say, the Badgers were EXTREMELY upbeat. The ladies in the dugout were as enthusiastic as a 10U travel team. They ran a clinic afterwards, and all the players were upbeat.
On a positive note, I have pics on my cell phone of DD #3 with Bucky Badger (the mascot) and Yvette Healy (the head coach).
