I think SEC coaches know more about what they make up during drinking binges then what they actually learn studying the sport, but hey, everyone needs a strong suit, and if you're going to coach at a party school, you'd best know the curriculum.

Forget the split grip, at the end of this demo she says the goal is not to follow through but to stop at contact ("they don't teach acceleration through contact or that follow-through"). That's an even bigger difference vs. traditional swing than the grip...see the game footage at the end of the clip, I had to view it twice to see her stopping at contact.

She says nothing of the sorts.
She never says to stop at contact. That's something you must have heard in your head. (we hear what we want to hear)
What she says, if you are interested in the real content of the video is:
"they (ULL coaches) don't teach acceleration through contact" which is not saying to stop at contact, which is also correct.

From Tom Robson:
The hitter accelerates TO contact a deceleration occurs after contact if one beleives what Tom Robson expoused.
And you should beleive him.
