i'm no expert but it looks like her hands are too far back in her stance, she is dropping her hands, and isn't hitting through the ball. please correct me if i am wrong. what else do we need to work on and any suggestions? also, she has started wanting to slap hit and the last video is of this. i think she is too far back in the box, but what else does she need to do? please keep in mind this is only her third practice slap hitting.

Her swing is nothing but arm power, with severe "bat drag", pulling the bat with the arms and hands, instead of the hands being pulled by the hip turn. She pulls the bat, then turns the hips.

She is not too far back in the box, she is just right, IMO.

1. Relax the back elbow

2. Lead with the hips (the hands will follow)

3. Squish the bug with the back foot (she is ending up on her toe...want to bend where the foot meets the base of the toes and really "smash" the bug)

4. Check to make sure her belly button is pointing towards the pitcher (full-hip rotation)

5. Make sure she is seeing the pitcher with her dominant eye (would be her right eye since she is right-handed...have her close her left eye and if she isn't seeing the pitch accurately, she needs to point her chin more towards the pitcher)

6. Hand position looks good, but if she is dropping at all just raise them a little bit

7. Not seeing her wrap her bat, so that's good (has a decent 45 degree angle at start)

8. Agree with previous comment that she really needs to do some hips/hands work (try stationary hips/hands T hitting then try walk-through T hitting with freeze at follow-through)

Like Booth said, upper body/arms lead the swing

Since she hits with no stride, you could have her front foot heel off the ground at set up, flex in the front knee, weight on inside of lead foot or big toe.
Have her practice the Elvis move while she keeps her hands back.
When you feel the lower half grab the upper half, it starts around the belly area, let the swing rip.

Something like the Georgia girl in black.
Can someone post her swing in motion?
