Leg extensions are a good
Pre-exhaust workout when trying to focus on the posterior chain. As the name implies, is pre-fatiguing or pre-tiring a certain muscle of a body parts. Because girls are quad dominate, this can help tire out the quads to allow the weaker muscle to work.
Forward to activate hamstrings and gluteal muscles, focus on pulling up and out hard with the knees and driving the legs through to full extension
pull in reverse to activate quads, keep the butt down with good posture
both work the calves
I like doing it because it has helped my knees to recover some from all the years in the military, then DD wanted to start and has fallen in love with it.
