I'm glad she's ok. I can't even imagine how much that must hurt. I've seen some 10U hitters that could probably knock me unconscious if they hit it at my head. College girls..yikes.

I just don't understand what it will take for these athletes (and others) to finally realize that a mask should be worn. Is it going to take a player's death to finally convince everyone? And no, I'm not over-reactive - I've worked in an ER for years and know that in a trauma like this, a few centimeters in any direction could mean permanent disability or death. Why continue to risk it when it could be easily prevented?

I'm just happy that this player is ok. So scary to see.
