Could have been us facing you Saturday, but a late game collapse has us watching from home.
PHS Leading 2-1 after 5. Tied up 2-2 after 6. Wheels fell off in the 7th lost 6-2. Good luck Saturday. Pitch around Runge and Prather. Watch for small ball.

Fall HS ball around here is called volleyball. And it's going well. The HS team is the best we have had in a few years. We had one bad outing and it's going to cost us the conference championship. But we still have districts. My DD is the teams setter and was named to the paper's midseason top 25 player list. Not bad for a kid who started playing in8th grade and has never played travel or summer league. Pretty soon winter ball will be here ( basketball) new coach and a new attitude. Looking forward to it.

DD team had a nice season going. Undefeated in conference. Ranked in the area's top 10 for the first time in years. Most talented Jr and Sr class the coach has had. Unfortunately, only travel ball pitcher on the team tore her ACL playing soccer the week before districts. Lost in the semi finals to a team they beat earlier in the season. DD last AB of her HS career, HBP. It was a good run. Team that beat us is one game away from state. Best of luck to them.

What does talent or Jr and Sr classes have to do with anything. Around here, if you don't worship at the high school coach's travelball altar you ain't gonna be part of his/her talented Jr and Sr classes in HS softball. Sad that such vindictive scoundrels exist in HS softball.

Nonetheless, best of luck to those who don't have to deal with this. Well, I guess, best of luck to those who do, as well.

In DD school, talent and hard work do make a difference, Jr/SR, not so much. It just happened that these 2 classes followed each other, allowing this group of girls 3 years to play and develop together. They were hoping all their hard work would take them deep in the post season this year. it just wasn't in the cards.
