I just found the Texas UIL rules for allowable games played.

Softball
(Girls)
0 tournaments and 23 games or 1 tournament and 20
games or 2 tournaments and 17 games or 3 tournaments
and 14 games

In our state they are only allowed to play 22 games or 20 games & one 4 game tourney...

Alabama allows 18 games and 7 tourneys. This gives teams the opportunity to play more than 50 games if they do well in tourneys.
