Are there football, basketball, or hockey teams that don't practice together?
It’s different. Softball is mainly a game of individual actions. That said I think some top AAU bball teams don’t practice much, if at all. They probably run a simple offense and let their talent win games. Of all the sports football is the one where the coaches have the most influence on the outcome of the game IMO.

Maybe you're on to something. I think you should let Gasso, Walton, Murphy, and White know they've been wasting their time on practicing.
Practicing team based things (relays, etc) is not useless and college teams have plenty of time. That said how much of the practice time is spent perfecting the skill aspect of something like relays (as the relayer positioning your body properly, quick transfer, etc) vs something that requires the rest of the team to be present. Eg all you need is somebody to throw you a ball in that case and somebody who knows wth they are doing coaching you..Now who goes where depending on where the ball is hit and who is on base requires a whole team but really by 14’s is that really that hard?

Hey there strawman nobody said practice was a waste of time. Getting together as a large group when they get older (in Travel softball) as a team has diminishing returns.

We know this to be true as others have noted in large tournaments and qualifiers there are many "tournament" only teams that play and do quite well.

I am sure they are practicing hard. Just not all together at the same time.

Those are team sports.
Disagree. if you're thinking teams don't need to practice at a certain point together then the same thinking applies from softball to those other sports

>>> Those are also Sports where whoever is in the positions on the field doesn't matter as long as they already know how to do the mechanics and run the plays.
Same same to baseball or softball. Know how to cover the field, defense offense, throw, catch same thing.
Who's covering second doesn't matter as long as they already know the position interaction.

Basketball know the plays regardless of who's in the positions. Same with football same with hockey same with soccer.

Not really, those other sports rely on players moving/coordinating as a unit almost non-stop throughout the game.

Other than some defensive movements, baseball/softball doesn't have that. Those few that you will want to mention are well practiced by 16u and just take a bit of prep to get sorted. Not something you would base your team around if your goal was to win. Just attend a tryout sometime and see what is being observed/measured. It isn't outfield relays.

Again just go to a large qualifier or end-of-season tournament and you can see these teams in action. They aren't concerned about getting together to practice bunt coverage.
