At what age?

I sometime get challenged by a student or parent who doesn't believe that I pitched or even played the game. So after some light kidding on their part I either pitch to the parent or hit off a student (always and older student normally a Jr or Sr). It is fun to see their reaction when they try to catch a spinner or when I slap or hit their best pitch.

I ran into a older Gentleman (70ish) while we were pitching a couple times last week... He told me he played Fastpitch. Said he was buddies with a ASA hall of famer. But he said he was in the NBA... It didn't really register, until DD told me on the way home, that he didn't miss a shot...The second time, I watched him shooting...He didn't not only miss a shot, but stripped the net... everytime

My DD's coaches always wanted to go in and face her--14u up. She always went with 2 rise balls and a change-up. Almost sent the last one into traction trying to swing at the change-up.

Personally I left trying to hit her up to her opponents.
