FWIW, considering the serious lack of research on concussions and long term effects, the decision to be safer is a solid one IMO. As a coach and a dad, I will always err on the side of caution when it comes to head injuries (to the point of forbidding DS to play full contact football, and requiring all of my infielders to wear fielding masks).

The first two concussions were with a Worth helmet. The last two were with the Rawlings Blackout helmet. She was on a Worth-sponsored team, thus the Worth/Rawlings products.
