Just ran across an ad on CL of a company that leases Softball gear. BaseballForest.com has new Demarini CF8 bats for lease. Pretty interesting way of "selling bats". $50 a month with 2 month minimum and a buyout depending on how long you lease it.

I wonder how much the mandatory insurance is for this bat? I really wonder if they offer full replacement insurance for the one year newer model.

I dont see Demarini or anybody else being OK with this if they find out.

Also, you can bet your azz you are paying close to retail when its over if you buy it out. They arent going to take this risk
and not make a very good profit

You are going to pay 50% to 100% over retail. I wish I knew someone who sold bats.

I know...sucks to never know where to get bats at...haha

In all honesty, warranties are NOT transferable...so I do not think the manufacturers are gonna look to kindly of leasing of bats...haha
