Some background info:
DD is 4'9, 80lbs and 9 years old( Just finished 3rd grade). She just finished her 2nd year in 10U ball and pitched great, fielded great and worked her butt off. Kid LOVES the game and begs me to practice every single day. I coached her REC team this year and so honestly I feel like I was spread a little thin and didnt get to focus on her as much as I would have liked. Still, Im no expert at all and would love to hear what more seasoned coaches feel about her swing overall.
Keep in mind, she is a very young 9 year old. Hasnt been to a HC ever in her life and she is still very new to the game. Thats exactly what it is for her right now....a game, and she loves it. She is a very competitive kid( in everything) and like I have mentioned before you can just tell softball means something more to her then the other sports she does ( soccer, track, basketball)
My untrained eyes could use all the help we can get. We will work hard and keep posting our progress videos in this journey into next season.
The first part( and last part) of the video she is using a 31/21 DeMarini aluminum bat and in the middle she is using a 29/17.5 Easton aluminum. The Demarini is something we literally just bought 2 days ago and is IMO the proper weight for her.
