Having below a 3.8 isn't always a deal breaker but I HIGHLY suggest you aim at LEAST there. I know many girls with lower than a 3.8 who earned scholarships at DI schools including myself.
GENERALLY many coaches look for "middles" - P, C, SS, 2B, and CF.
I have also heard the Washington staff say they LOVE utility players. Those players are usually very athletic, versatile, can contribute in a variety of ways, AND typically have a great team player attitude.
