What to do for next year?

And Lozza, I did say it bothers us...it played on us so much that we allowed them to stay with the team this year and that decision bit us in the butt when the jerk coach caused all his trouble and then split.

At some point you're going to have to take charge make a decision based upon what is best for your family. You're letting your DD's run things to the point you're doubting your own best judgement as a parent. You know what you need to do. You just have to do it.

What you need to make your DD's understand is they can still be friends with the girls on the current team they will make more friends on the new team. They have just doubled their list of softball friends. The other thing you'll find is when they are around like minded, competitive players they will be happier if they truly want to excel at the game.

A good start is to have them tryout for the new team or even practice with them a few times over the next few weeks. Let them see these girls have fun too. Once they see serious players on the team having fun and doing girl things it may change their attitude. Right now for them the biggest thing is fear of the unknown.
