Most of my daughter's team mates will graduate the year before she does. She's always on a 2024 team, because that's what they call the 06s. She will graduate in 2025, but she can't be on an 07 team this year (nor would she want to anyway). One of her teammates is also a late birthday; maybe they'll stick together.

At times this fall/next spring my 9YO DD will be playing 12U against girls who are almost 3 years older than her as she is playing up and has a Sept birthday. She can hold her own against them for the most part so I see no issue with it, being challenged is good.
