Here is the current swing from DD. She's making the jump to A/B ball from B/C ball. She leads her current team in hitting. But, she wants to keep improving to prepare for the pitchers she will see. Any advice is appreciated.
The "front leg kick" is not too high. That said, the intent of that action is, in part, about a gathering of energy wrt the rear leg ... and that could be enriched.
No, the rear leg needs to be reactive. I'm speaking about the gathering of energy ... the forward-yet-back ... the forward-by-coiling. Short on time ... the FbC action could be significantly improved.
Get more on the toes of the rear leg, and don't let the heel move backward. If you set a ball against the back of that foot, it shouldn't move during the swing. Your DD would kick it backward. That's also related to not coiling properly into the rear hip.
