Same tee height and location, Donaldson demo on the left, Donaldson Actual swing on right. Donaldson's initial movement is "down to". What we see Donaldson demoing below is more of an outlier IMO. He doesn't get into this position. Real swing on right shows barrel still above the hands and he's progressed further in his swing as you can see with the turning of the back hip.

Oh so don't believe what Donaldson says because he is not actually doing that. Wait, what?

Can you elaborate? How does JD stating that he wants to get on plane early and stay on plane dispute whether we should listen to pros or "joes"?

Which pro, they are clearly disputing each other. ARod and Pujols, demo straight down, Donaldson Martinez say don't do that. If you can't see the difference between what Martinez is doing in your clip and you think it is the same as ARod saying swing down it is not.

You know what an outlier is right? How many more videos can you show me of another pro demoing and getting to this position that Donaldson is?

By the way, still awaiting that video of your swing.

Tewks old swing down video posted here as well as JD's from his early days were demoing how to shift forward while swinging down around the body vs getting into a leveraged fyb hitting position before swinging down.

Love this comparison because it shows how the hands move when leveraged!

I like to watch you guys dance. You haven't addressed my main point. The pros disagree, so how do you know which pros. How do you decide? You all keep acting like all the pros agree, they do not.

The pros, vs one pro? Martinez is not in the camp you keep putting him in ;) . Look at his one hand barrel path TDS posted.

So believe the pros, except the ones YOU don't agree with. Martinez and Donaldson directly contradict Pujols and ARod.

The demo that Pujols and ARod is down to and down through. Not down to and up though.

Should it not be down to and up through?
