My daughter turned to me in the stands while watching the 2015 PGF 10U finals between two teams from Texas filled with girls she knew and had played against, and said "Dad, next year I want it to be me out there". One year later
she not only accomplished her goal of winning a PGF 10U National Championship, but she batted .600 for the week with a HR, 3 doubles, and 14 RBIs (leading the entire age group) – while going 4-4 in the PGF championship. I am continually amazed by what she can achieve when she puts her mind to it. I teared up just walking into the stadium BEFORE the game – thinking about what she had told me the previous year – and then she goes out and has a four-for-four day...
