My daughter's 2016 Xeno had the end cap raise really bad on it. It's still under warranty. They're replacing it with the 2017 Xeno. She loved her 2016. Hopefully the 2017 is just as hot

A girl on my DD's team just got the 2017 LXT...a 2 game sample....it has a lot of pop! Anyone else know of anyone using the LXT or Xeno?

Also, at random tournaments, I see a lot of LXTs and very few Xenos. My DD has a 2016 Xeno...she loves it.

I'm trying to figure out what if any is the difference in the 2016 & 2017 Xeno for my DD.

I personally don't see a lot of difference. They are using the same performance plus double wall composite as last year and are still using the inner disc (S1iD) that they have used in the past. They are advertising an improved connection joint (iST technology) but who knows what that entails. Overall I would bet the 2017 and the 2016 performance would be pretty close if not the same

Hopefully the 2017 is more durable. Had a 2014 where the end cap raised after eleven months, warranty replaced with a 2016. The 2016 lasted just six months before it got thrown out of a high school playoff game for a separating end cap. We're SOL on warranty replacement for a warranty replacement.

DD has used her 2017 Xeno in 2 tournaments. She's done well with it. Seems to have the same pop as her 2016 did.

3 girls on our team (DD included) all switched from the Xenos (15s & 16s) to the 2017 LXT. These are all middle of the lineup hitters. All said that LXTs felt just as solid and tight as the Xenos but faster to swing. From my perspective the noticeable difference was that all were hitting more consistent line drives than deep high fly balls. My DD didn't like the 14 LXT said is was too light and too loose in swing, but says this one feels totally different.

The most dramatic "new bat improvement" I saw was with a player who is typically a contact hitter. She went from a CF7 to the new Combat and was launching balls with the best of our power hitters.
