You also have to realize when you are talking about the older bats...some of these older bats probably were not able to pass the compression test if they were to be done to it. The older bats got better and better and never stopped. The new bats do not get to that "crazy" level. The key is passing compression and staying legal but being as good as it can be as quick a possible for as long as it can.
So if you had an old Stealth with 5 million hits on it, of course its going to be hotter and a few feet better than the new bats.
And one last thing, not to insult FP or SP players. If you need to spend 500+ dollars for a bat to hit, maybe softball isnt the game you need to pursue.
