The catapult loading system

I took the plunge and invested in Joey Myers videos. I have 3 video series, The catapult loading system, Reaction time mastery, and The truth about explosive rotational power.

I thought the book was very good. the videos are even better. I've heard people say they know how the body works to swing a bat, Myers explains it thoroughly. In fact he has the most complete system, besides the upperbody during the swing which might be covered in his Pitch plane dominator video. Beside the upperbody during the swing, the rest of it his system is explained in detail. It's the most complete hitting system I've ever studied and viewed of how his hitting system works. I'v never seen anyone explain their views so thoroughly.

He does go over the upper body in the Pitch plane dominator. I will talk about it later after I review the material thoroughly.

One of the easiest ways a young hitter can accomplish a goal of not allowing the lead shoulder to open up is to push with their arms. Those that instruct fear of the lead shoulder opening need to be very watchful that they are not promoting pushing.

Guess that all kind of depends on which end of the chain (or whip) you're coaching to move first...bottom->up or top->down.

Excuse my deviation, what does everyone think the hips angled upward means? What is the purpose of the hips being angled upward going into contact? Myers thinks and uses Homer Kelly (I think that is his name, golfing machine) that the hips angles upward as the back knee is flexed and the front leg straightens, if that makes sense. He thinks this helps to get on plane with the pitch, so slightly up.
