I have used a stop watch in the past to figure the speed of the pitch and it worked well. I found this in the app store today that lets you set all the different pitching distances 35/40/46/60.5 and lets you set a custom distance, I choose 43 feet naturally. It's called Baseball radar gun high heat by Handtechnics. I found it on my ios/apple so I'm not sure if it is available on android.

If we only had this a few weeks ago during the LLWS ... :p

It's hard to time right off the TV. I tried it today and my readings were all over the place. I long time ago I got pretty good with a stop watch and could time it fairly close. I owned a Jugs also and could check my times. It's much easier to time the pitch in person, not very good or easy off the TV.

It’s not that hard. I was getting fairly consistent reads. It got a lot easier when I hit pause and used the slo-mo feature on my DVR.

;) 😁
