I ended up buying a bucket and two dozen balls. I ask my DD to throw two buckets of singles, doubles (circles on one knee), normal pitches, and K-throws into a net so she could do it on her own. If I’m sitting on the bucket I got a second bucket to keep the 24 contained for her and started not throwing them back, when she gets it to me, to keep an accurate pitch count and drill interval. ie two buckets of 40ft, then a bucket or so of long tosses, etc for about 200 total throws.

Yup. We keep 25 balls in the bucket.

While I do like to catch my DD and view the pitches as the catcher, I prefer to have her pitch into a net. We have the 9-box strike zone so she has a target and can work on location, but the main reasons I like her pitching into a net:

1. It frees me up to watch her mechanics from any angle I want
2. It frees me up to radar her
3. If frees me up from taking a ball to the shins
4. It frees me up to go inside and have a beer and let her work through issues without dad pestering her
5. It lets her practice when I'm not at home
