Spreading the word

I am starting a 14U travel team. But I am not sure how to spread the word to let potential players know. I do not want to steal anyone away from another team. That isnt my style. How do I get the word out? What's the best route to take? Thanks for your help.

You need to announce your tryouts on your local softball board. Search fastpitch softball and then, your area.

I am watching a team develop here, from Little League parents. You could put some feelers out, at the ball diamonds.

Post some flyers around the local schools and ball parks. Take the kids you do have on board and have them "update their status on her Facebook page" that says we're actively searching for committed fastpitch players etc... call coach "Joe" at 555-1234 to sched a private tryout and interview.

It ain't stealing once they complete their 1 year commitment to their current team. That's all the team owes them and that's all they owe the team.
