Ellie was struggling with lots of weak contact. She’s come out of it a bit lately and had some nice hits over the last two weekends. If we could just duct tape those hands to her rear shoulder…
Been a while since anything's been uploaded. Fair warning, video dump coming. Overall, Ellie has been struggling with confidence and consistent hard contact over the past 8-9 months or so. But over the last 4-6 weeks things are coming together a bit better. Here's to the roller coaster adventures of a 10U softball player.
Well done. Ask her if she know the jersey number of the CFer. After she says no, tell her when she hits a gapper she can take a quick peek on her way to 2nd.
I know it's just an intrasquad scrimmage off of coach pitching (practices ramped up as they prepare for PGF, so he's challenging them), but Ellie is FEELING it right now. She went 5-6 with a HR over the RF head (very average speed, so it's not like she outran the ball), two doubles and two triples (no errors).
Sharing so I can remember this months down the line. I haven't seen her so confident in 11 months. It was a good night for her, which she's needed.
Played a pre-PGF tournament this past weekend, which included most of the top 10U teams around (missed a couple). Ellie added a couple of more triples.
The one hit to right went over the RF's head. She's starting to get some lift to these balls, which is a good sign.
