She grew up in rural Oklahoma. I am curious as to where, I may have seen her play. Through contacts with dd's organization, may have someone that knows the coach where she is going.

You need to go talk to the coach. You've got some good general advice, but if you want to know something more specific, you have to talk to the coach.

Failure is possible. The coach might say, "No, I don't want you," but you'll never know until you ask.

Just found out today that a 2009 graduate and former HS player ( DD's school ) signed and will play in the 2013 season at the local Juco.
Pretty much she called the Juco coach, had a evaluation and got in. She is the first player on the link list.

I walked on, got a little scholarship money to play too. We played against a walk-on at another cc who was 40 years old. It's never too late and the worst that will happen is they say no. New program? New coach?
