My 11 wants a new bat to replace her 2yo Easton. She wants a composite bat (of course) to try to help take some of the "ringing" out when she doesn't hit clean. Her bat is a 32/23. She sometimes uses a 33/24 composite during her hitting lessons (borrowed from the college team).

Of course, there are lots of companies and models, so how do you pick the right one? Aside from making sure it has the ASA/NSA "approved" stamp, what else do you look for?

Bought my DD a new bat a couple months back. I found it easy, I went online to look at reviews, then went to a local pro shop that stocks a good selection of bats. The staff allowed her to try swinging several in a tunnel. She hit a couple buckets of softees, went home and thought about the bats, came back, hit more softees and bought the bat. It is difficult to buy blind or online. If you are not sure of sizes etc. enlist her coach to assist next time you visit the cages
