I've heard a couple (volunteer) coaches refer to this as a good thing, like an indicator of a quality swing.
I always thought it was something that, if it happened at all, should happen sometime after contact and therefore doesn't affect the outcome.
If the wrists roll too early, like during contact, that's a bad thing but I don't remember what it leads to.
Was or is rolling the wrists ever taught as a good thing? (Like swinging down on the ball?)
