DD headed out to Mizzou's Tiger Jr camp this morning; this will be her 3rd time. Uniform tops/pants really weren't an option, because we just got back from an out of town tournament and they were dirty. She took black softball pants and enough MU t-shirts to wear one every day. :-D She's also got various tourny tees and shorts to lounge around in when they're in the dorms.

I predict your daughter will love camp. It's not just the softball, though that's great. It's also the experience of being at college and getting a taste of what it will be like to live in the dorms with other girls their age, away from Mom and Dad.

Silly question maybe, but where do you find college softball camps? A lot of our HS run 3 day summer camps, but a college one sounds great.

We found a ton of camps through the gold fast pitch website (GoldFastpitch.com). There is a tab specific to camps. It was great help, we sat down with our tournament schedule to see what would with what schools she is interested in! Good luck. We've done some smaller camps (UDel, George Washington, etc) but this is the first real big school camp she is doing!! I'm a little excited for her!!!!

From someone that has attended many camps and showcases over the years. Most camps are to make money! Keep that in mind. College coaches would rather see you play in an actual game. You need to send those that you are interested in your games. Showcases are the best way to get recruited. In college camps have something that has your name on it. If they notice you that gets you to the next step getting them to watch you play.
