I really appreciate the information shared by everyone.
I'm chomping at the bit now, as we're on the verge of this trip being a go. We had a meeting with the 9 parents who indicated interest in the trip (and spoke separately with the others who have their reasons for not wishing to go) and the 72-hour decision window closes tomorrow. Looks like 7 are confirmed, so hopefully the other 2 will have good news for us tomorrow. There are a couple of backup options lined up from outside the team, so our pin order should be going in Monday or Tuesday.
After what happened last weekend, we've decided to go just with 9, unless more than 9 from the current team wanted to make the trip. Having only 9 interested is disappointing, but works out perfectly.
As much fun as the girls will have, I'm also excited for what this could potentially mean for our league over the next few years, with the incoming groups knowing they have a real shot at getting there, too.
