My daughter is a 2027 who only began playing in the spring of 2021 rec league and has progressed rapidly. She is now starting in her second year of full-time travel. I hope to learn as much as possible as I am also a fastpitch newb.

Just noticed you live in New Lenox. My daughter is a 2026 Freshman at LW West. They might be teammates one day, or rivals if your daughter is at L.W. Central. We also live in New Lenox.

Hey Bob, Yes we are West side!

Our new Liberty Junior high team was pretty strong this year and DD was part of that group. Hopefully, we don't lose too many of these girls to Providence next year.

My daughter is working to make the West team, we'll see...

BTW, cheering for the West football team must be rough duty this year ...lol

My daughter does cheerleading too. in fact, cheer is her primary interest. i am in both softball and cheer forums. there is nothing wrong with cheerleading... i love it. i am sure she will be doing that longer than softball..

Oh and cheer is a sport. they do not just sit on sidelines. they go to meets and competitons where they get judged against other cheer teams.
