The distance differnece makes littel differnce in how hard a [itcher ahs to work or throw. Most throw as hard as they can every pitch (or at least they should). The change from 40 to 43 requires the pitcher to change their release points slightly which is not a matter of harder just different. Going back and forth is the hardest as now the poor pitcher has to have adjustable musclel memory which las t I checked was a hard feature to find.....!


43 does add an interesting dimension to the breaking pitches as the pitcher who could bend it 12" will get 18-24 of break. Just be careful and don't alternate your weekends between ASA and NSA tournaments! and maybe since asa is copying HS maybe the girls can wear metal cleats too.
