My older DD who is a rising sophmore made the transition this year from infield to outfield (primarily to have a shot at starting as a Freshman). She had some errors and drops out there some can be attributed to flat out physical or mental mistake (maybe), I'm not going to brag and say she will be the perfect player at this time. She is still having a bit of a problem in TB, it not 100% of the time, but enough to bother her (and me).
Anyway, she is still using her infielder's glove (11.75" WORTH LIBERTY FASTPITCH GLOVE LFPX117).
She want something different for the outfield.
The requirements she gave me were - no black, must have a velcro strap (though I'm willing to argue this one with her if people can give me the reason). Her reason for wanting the strap is that she has a small wrist.
She is about 5'2" with a small frame and a small hand.
Honestly, I'm not sure the glove is a problem, but if she has lost confidence in it, then it might help to make a change anyway.
