Off-season BP in cages- ideas?

Tend to pull their head before the ball hits the bat. They do need to watch the ball make contact with the bat, they don't need to watch where it goes.

The human brain is not capable of actually watching the ball "make contact with the bat". It's moving too fast, the brain is simply anticipating where the ball will go based on experience.

The eyes are looking ahead of the ball at impact.

Tell that last part to every successful batter in the MLB and the women at the college level.

i use the little foam balls and put different colored markings on the balls, the kids will then use a broom stick for the bat. i make the kids say the color they see on the ball prior to hitting, this really works the eyes.
