My daughter who is 11 just completed rec ball where she decided she wanted to catch. Turns out she is pretty good at this posiition and is now playing for a travel ball team. We figured she would develop under the 2 established catchers and we would have some time before we looked into a catchers mitt. Well as it turns out she will be catching more then we thought this year so we need a glove. Any suggestions on a glove size and brand that is fairly easy to break in?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

That is the glove my DD started with, nice glove, break-in is extremely fast.. It's not a glove that will go the distance however, it was pretty floppy before it got to the 2 year mark. I thought about replacing it with another Akadema (The higher quality/priced version. But ended up finding a SSK mitt (That seems to no longer be produced)
I know a lot of kids like the Worth Liberty as well.
We started with a Nokona, but it was just too big for her.

Our beginning catchers this year bought Easton. The model # escapes me,
but they are trimmed with white and are moderately priced. They seem to be decent
gloves especially for the $$
