Need advice on finding a good fit travel team

I don't have a lot of experience in this and was hoping for some advice. I would like to find a travel team for my current 12U DD. I am looking for a well run organization that would help her in development. At this age she is an average player and has played in Rec and summer tournament town leagues. We are in Woodbridge NJ and because of our schedules would probably need to stay within 1 hour drive. Can anyone recommend some teams that we could approach? Appreciate any advice or contacts.

Can't help you on contacts or teams... but

Make sure to observe games and possibly practices of the teams you may be interested in. See how the Coaches act during games, do they yell at the players? Do they act in a respectful manner? Also how the practices are run. Are the majority of the girls standing around waiting for the next drill?

Talk to the parents of the team. What are their thoughts.

Playing "pickup" with several teams is a great way to get acclimated to TB and to try to find the right "fit" for your DD.

Tough to say who will have good teams next year, but the Heat, Pride, Nightmare, Outlaws, CJL, Intensity are typically pretty good organizations to get involved with.
