Mako's on sale at Softball.com

Caught an ad for softball.com 2015 Easton Mako -10 on sale for $129.88. Just thought I'd pass that along. 2015 Xenos were $159.00. both good deals.

Jumped on the Mako sale, great deal or so I thought? I guess in "my" mind I always wanted DD to try and like the Mako but she won't even look at it. She'll never sit her LTX down ! Maybe I can hide the LS.......fortunately I have next to nothing in the Mako.

Makos are good bats.. Our HS team had 2 dingers off of 32/22 Makos by tiny young ladies in our first game.

Oh, I believe you, last Sunday my DD had a hitting lesson and we purposely got there 25/30 minutes early to work on a pitch. After that we both jumped in the cage so I could hit a few balls, I grabbed the Mako. She was behind a screen and probably throwing 48/50 mph but from around 25'. After a few pitches, got her timed up and was hitting lasers, point is that Mako hits hard and feels very solid !

Talked to Core, and the new LXTs aren't out until at least June, and so I bought DD one of the Makos to get by. What can she expect for swing weight differences? I know the Mako comes in a little heavier based on some posts here. Both are 33/23.

Check out Eric's bat weight database for a comparison. I do know there is a noticeable weight difference between a Mako and a LTX in the same size. There's a 2oz. difference in my DD's 32/22 Mako and LTX.

They are really different bats IMHO. LXT is a light swinging balanced bat, Mako is a heavier swing with end load feel.

She might love it, they are great bats. I really don't like to see a kid switching between different types of bats all the time though.

I saw that deal but my DD wants the 2016. She doesn't like the orange and white color scheme on the 2015. Hoping there is a price drop soon.
