Long at bats

DD has been doing a good job this year with working long counts when needed. She faced a slower pitcher this weekend and really had 2 great at bats. The first was a 10 pitch at bat which eventually resulted in a walk. I was pretty happy about that plate appearance....until her next one. She battled for 16 pitches before getting hit in the foot with what would have been ball 4 anyway. It was nice to see her rip pitch after pitch but it would have been nice if she had been been able to make the adjustment and wait back a little longer and take one of those hard line drives to left instead of the tree line. It did get quite humorous after awhile.
