Things are going well over here. After being on the road for 2 weeks it is nice to be back in Kariya (home) for a few days. We leave tomorrow for our first pre-season tournament. We will be gone for 2 weeks and play many games before we return home. The Japanese take such good care of things. We wash EVERYTHING after practice and games. The picture below is after one of our practices. We are are cleaning the balls. Yes you read that right. WE clean the balls after every practice. WE are spoiled in America. :)

Take care,

Jenny Topping

"Just wondering who will be the first to sarcastically comment on this post?"

Coach James was the brave one. Don't let these guys get you into trouble.

When I was student teaching at Decatur Macarthur (Il.) HS, in 1976, I walked into a gym full of boys that were bouncing basketballs and I said "Hold your balls." I never made that mistake again.

Back on topic. I wonder if the softballs last longer?
