JH/SH coaches give praise to youngest DD

So my youngest DD is in 7th grade. Last night at practice all the coaches were telling me how great a player she is, one of the best hitters and how coachable she is. I have already been told that despite being in 7th grade, she will be the #1 pitcher for the 8th grade team. Our school breaks it up in 7th grade and 8th grade teams, except for special cases. I am thrilled her hard work has paid off like that and am so proud of the compliments. They also said they are excited to see her in a few years for the HS team.

You're lucky. And I really mean that. Most middle school teams I've seen and heard about politics trumps performance. Most middle school teams around here are coached by parents who usually have an agenda. I've got my own story opposite yours.
