IMO both hands/arms and body are working together to pull the barrel back around to the ball. The hands being back by the back foot behind the back hip forces the pulling action back to the ball. IMO this is vital to whipping the bat!! Can ya see it? Can ya feel it?

Chris, may you please define "pull hook" for me and explain why it is the result of a good swing?

In a good swing, the forearm and the barrel of the bat are aligned. Since the IB has a curved shaft, the result of a good, whippy swing will be a big pull hook.

Due to the curve in the shaft, if you're hitting the ball up the middle with the IB, you're doing something wrong.
